CFJNS will offer workshops for all players to attend throughout the year. These workshops are optional and will take place in a classroom-like setting where presenters will educate players on the topics. Players will be encouraged to attend and learn as much as they can.
Our Performance Night 2019 will feature professionals from the Chicago Fire Academy Performance Advisory Support Service (PASS) and Monique Ryan, owner of Personal Nutrition Designs. Personal Nutrition Designs is based in Evanston and works directly with the Chicago Fire Academy.
Players U13-U19 are encouraged to enter our leadership groups. These groups will meet six times (once per month) from January through June.
These meeting will concentrate on how players can use their own personal values in their leadership styles, how to positively impact team's performance, and how to support the development of the team culture according to the club's values.

Players from our leadership groups interest in learning more about coaching and leadership are encouraged to join our Coach-in-Training program. This program will assign a player to a Pre-Travel or U8 training session based on the player's team training schedule.
During the training, the CIT will support the Team Evanston coaching staff and become part of the team supporting our youngest players' development. By supporting the coaching staff, CITs will be around coaching role models in their environment giving the CIT a chance to better understand the challenges and solutions to coaching a team. Successful CITs will be encouraged to complete their USSF Grassroots license.

The CFJ North Shore Leadership Program is an extension of the Chicago Fire Academy PASS Program. The PASS program that goes beyond the traditional X's and O's of coaching and towards a 'broad based holistic approach' to educating young athletes.
PASS supports player development by offering unique personal development workshops that helps players improve their intrapersonal skills and practice their personalities leadership style.
CFJNS's Leadership program follows PASS's few, some, and all methodology.
