Performance Night offers players the opportunity to work the Chicago Fire Academy professionals on their own personal development.
PERSONAL CORE VALUES: Specifically concentrating on the body and mind, the Chicago Fire PASS program will deliver a Chicago Fire Core Values personal development workshop focusing on the importance of knowing your own personal core values and how each of these are important to successful development.
SLEEP, HYDRATION, & NUTRITION: Monique Ryan, a nutritional professional based in Evanston who works with the Chicago Fire Academy, will also present on sleep, hydration and nutrition.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. They will not participate in the workshops but can attend with their player to learn the same information at the same time. Parents do not have to pre-register (players only pre-register).
Monique joined the Chicago Fire Soccer Academy in May of 2018 as a sports nutrition consultant. She maintains a private nutrition practice in Evanston, IL. Personal Nutrition Designs, LLC, started in 1992 and works with all levels of athletes participating in team sport, endurance, and skill sports. Monique has consulted with USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, several professional cycling teams including the Saturn Cycling Team and Team Type 1, and was a Subject Matter Expert for Ironman™. She is the author of Sports Nutrition for Team Sports, and Sports Nutrition for Endurance Athletes (3rd edition). Monique has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition. She is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist. She currently competes in triathlons and is a four-time Ironman 70.3 finisher. Monique is working with the Chicago Fire First Team for the 2019 season.
Felix Yu from the Chicago Fire Academy PASS Program will deliver a workshop on;
All Team Evanston and CFJ North Shore players, as well as those players not in the club are welcome to attend. The event is FREE of charge.
Players will interact in small groups during the presentation. Players will also complete a personal core values worksheet where they will leave with a better understanding of their current values and how they can be applied to training, learning, and teamwork.
CFJ North Shore will offer workshops for all players to attend throughout the year. These workshops are optional and will take place in a classroom-like setting where presenters will educate players on the topics. Players will be encouraged to attend and learn as much as they can.
The CFJNS Leadership Program is an extension of the Chicago Fire Academy PASS Program. The PASS program that goes beyond the traditional X's and O's of coaching and towards a 'broad based holistic approach' to educating young athletes.
PASS supports player development by offering unique personal development workshops that helps players improve their intrapersonal skills and practice their personalities leadership style.
CFJNS's Leadership program follows PASS's few, some, and all methodology.
